Hello and welcome I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I offer a counselling service for adults which can be either face to face, by telephone or online video call.
When you are feeling low, stressed, anxious or experiencing relationship issues talking to a counsellor can really make a difference. Help with these difficulties can be achieved by a process of self-exploration and increased self-awareness safely held in an honest, predictable, sensitive and trusting counselling relationship.
What is it like working with me?
I understand that deciding to see a counsellor can be a difficult process. You might be feeling uneasy, vulnerable, confused or overwhelmed I’m sensitive and easy to talk to. I will listen closely and be sensitive to your needs focusing on the relationship between us.
In our relationship, I will provide warmth, openness, empathy, trust and presence. With these qualities, it is always my intention to hold a safe space for you to explore your inner experience without judgement and create the potential for you to feel more at ease.
Please feel welcome to get in touch with me to discuss any queries you may have about counselling or mentoring with me. I am happy to arrange a one-hour introductory session at a reduced fee of £20. This can help you to get a feel for whether I might be the right therapist for you and gives you an opportunity to ask me any questions. It also allows me to understand your needs and issues more thoroughly and to see if my approach is appropriate for you.
If we feel that we can work together then we can arrange to talk on a more regular basis ideally weekly each session lasting for one-hour and costing £45.

Where I work
I work in the village of Stoke Gabriel, South Devon, UK which is conveniently situated for access from Totnes, Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Dartmouth and Newton Abbot. The postcode is TQ9 6SL. Free parking is available in a private car park.
I have found that people like the location because it is private and away from their home area so they don’t have to worry about bumping into anyone they know. It can help to have a sense of privacy when coming for counselling.
My therapy room is set in a peaceful and open location surrounded by large trees and lawned gardens. Stoke Gabriel is an idyllic village right beside the River Dart which is the perfect place to take a walk and collect your thoughts before or after a session.
For those further afield I offer telephone or secure online video counselling.
